H1b cannot get 1099-MISC . Airbnb / Turo is not allowed. Generation rent through lease even 10s of properties is allowed.

Airbnb and turo is allowed if you are hiring authorized person to take care of business. You can’t personally manage booking or clean up the apartment or drop off/pickup car or cleaning car. Not a legal advice, just sharing what I have understand from my research

Basically if you monetize you will get 1099 and that has to be reported so ideally no you shouldn't be making money

Not sure if you can open trading account because h4 visa holders don't have SSN. they get an ITIN number. Basically, you can't earn money on h4 visa, until you get EAD.

How is it different and complicated? You can always invest in index funds if you don't have the risk appetite. Regardless stock market works the same way globally. Noe is a good time to invest too
