Great work using leftover material. You've inspired me. I have a bunch of Baltic birch plywood offcuts that are just to pretty to toss out. Now my brain is swimming in ideas. Thank you. Your coasters turned out great. I especially like the weave pattern. Subscribed. Take care.

Michael Alm's clamping jig with the wedges looked good to use but I think it needed a top to keep them flat.

I think anything other than straight edges probably requires a jig for sure. I should look into that for the next one.

Those MDF cauls worked really well. I think the woven ones are my favourite. If you like that liquid wax check out Scotty's Kustom Creations range at Carbatec. Not tried his liquid wax, but the Kustom Grit is the schnizzle.

I will definitely do that! I'm still a noob when it comes to finishes.

Yes I have, and he's amazing, but I'm not confident enough to try out some of his work. But I got a grasp of it enough I think that if (or really when) I do this again I'll up the difficulty level.

Well Done! Looks great and learning new things is what woodworking is all about. Nice use of scraps. Michael Alm has some good vids on patterning ply, ;earned a lot from them myself.

Very true, couldn't agree more. Inspiration to try this did come from him, but I'm far from ready to go to the level he does!
