Beautiful. I loved your video. I enjoy everyone you made. Subtle, so lovely. I make goat milk using the frozen goat milk lye method it’s quite time consuming, to get freeze and so slowly introduce the lye to prevent scorching. Also gel phase renders lighters colors tanish (of that’s a word, so I often pop my loaf in the fridge sacrificing the deeper colors. I feel in love with making goat milk soap. I too love Lemon.

I'm a huge lemon fan too. Thank you for doing some lemon and citrus varieties. My mom doesn't like foodie scents either. My fave is lemon, bergamont, coconut and vanilla smells usually. I know the vanilla turns brown in soap but I do love the smell. I recently bought a Vetiver bubble bath which has been refreshing.

there's always an exception to the rule but usually i'm not into so much of the cologne or purfumey type scents, i prefer, clean fresh and natural usually like essential oils i tend to love but i also really enjoy fruity and foody scents too like apple cinnamon and lychee guava for example.

I’m a floral scent person but my daughter loves the fruity scents which works well for me because I can get her opinion on which fruity scents to try. 🙂 I try to keep a variety of scents in stock because it always amazes me when I sell in person how one person will love a scent but the next will hate it. 🤷♀️ I did a pie series last year that has gone over well but I think that’s due to the pie slice shape as much as the scents. 😁

My favorite soap scent of all time is Egyptian Dragon, it's an exotic, musky fragrance I can't get enough of although it's a really browner). I don't like straight on fruity scents, or cloying florals, I do like bakery scents though, vanilla, etc. I love lemon also! Going to try this one. Thank you for showing us the discoloration also! It's still pretty, too bad the browner make it a tough sell sometimes. Not that one, but my favorite ED.

I made some lemon bar soaps a while ago and they turned out tan/brown. the FO I used did have some vanillin in It and I used a bright yellow mica. would you suggest using titanium dioxide first to lighten the batter, then add the yellow mica? I'd like to make them again, but they were hard to sell because they didn't look very appealing. (but smelled great!)

Ellen, would you care to explain to me how you do your goats milk in oil method, goat milk to water discount, the temperature you like to soap at? I love to gel my soaps & I really want to use goats milk with most of my soaps. I can't stand to freeze the milk ahead of time & all that. Hope this all makes sense🤪 Thank you!
@EllenRuthSoap2 жыл бұрын
I do a very steep water discount to make room for the milk, then add it to the oils instead of the lye pot. I like to soap at around 80 degrees or so. Here is a good video where I talk about the method: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYCYn2erjKqJhZI

Such pretty soap, and I love how cheery and friendly you are! I feel like I could sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with you. :) Hopefully you don't mind if I share something with you... because friends tell each other the truth, right? :) So here goes... the right way to pronounce "vanillin" is just like "vanilla" with an "n." Not VAN-ilin. The emphasis is on the second syllable: vah-NIL-in. I would want to know if I were saying something wrong so please don't be offended! I love your channel and will keep watching no matter how you say it!

Because I'm a total weirdo that way! 🤣 Anyway, you keep doing you... it's all good. :) And your videos are so positive which is so refreshing in this day and age.
