I am preparing for the party. I am getting ready for the marriage. I am going to the hospital for treatment.vs I am going to the hospital to attend to the patient. SIR, I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY RULE IN THE English GRAMMAR TO SHOW A PURPOSE WITH THE WORD "FOR" such as in this sentence. I AM GOING TO THE HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT. It means when we want to show a purpose. such as" for treatment" we (use, For + noun.) And when ( To + Verb )we use to for purpose. Am I right sir? Because your opinion is an authority to me.
