Thanks for update on your mom. She’s a beautiful soul. I have always used chuck or rump roasts in the slow cooker. They say the cheaper the cut, the better for slow cookers. Love the quilt cards.

I’m sure some people don’t believe it but empty nest syndrome is really real and it hits hard. It’s tough to be a mamma when they’re young and need you for every little thing but also when they don’t need anything from you anymore.

Those look like a log cabin pattern and there are different types of log cabin patterns so they could all be that type. So pretty ❤️

Melina the first pattern of triangles is called a Herringbone Quilt pattern. Yes I did use to quilt a lot, but I fell in love with Junk Journaling, you and your Mom Mrs E are why I started, thank you. I'm glad your Mom is doing good.

I've thought about doing this. I used to quilt. Log cabin style. In fact I won a prize for my first quilt at a junior womens convention. I was shocked and honored. This was fun to watch and I love your chats

Your Granmother quilted like I do. Nothing ornate or special fesigns. I even hand sew all of them. Teacching my granddaughter how to quilt, starting with a patchwork runner. My favorite is the patchwork design,real country. Glad your Mom is doing better. My prayers are with her.

The first pattern is a herringbone pattern and the second looks like a variation of a log cabin block. I am a quilter, the first and only in my family although, I did teach my sons to sew. These are darling, I'm going to have to make a lot of these with all the different quilt blocks!

I’m a paper crafter who’s stash is in storage because we don’t have a place to live at the moment. We are staying with a friend but a bedroom doesn’t hold much when it’s already full of their stuff. Lol. I do have a cutter some paper and glue. I am so diving into this head first. Thanks for the inspiration. 😊

Glad to hear E is feeling better, I was concerned and she's been in my thoughts and prayers for several days. Sorry to hear about the stressful events in your family, I know that can be very hard. My boys have been out of the house for over 20 years and believe it or not I'm still not totally adjusted, particularly in the amount of food I buy and prepare 😂. I love these little quilt pattern pieces, they are so cute. Believe it or not I watched one of your videos from 9 years ago and your voice has really changed. I use to make the same kind of quilts by hand like your grandmama, I didn't use a sewing machine what so ever all by hand only made 3 however. I think the 2nd one is a Pin Wheel Pattern! Love ❤️ these.

I saw a tip for using double sided tape, if you put a light layer of glue stick on top it gives you wiggle room for adjusting. 🤗❤❤

Here's a great veg dish for you. I do mine in a cast dutch oven but I think it would be good in crock pot. Onions carrots and potatoes with salt and pepper and stick 1/2 of butter.

This is really neat. I love the idea. I'm working on a really big journal project of 75 prayer journals that need to be done by the end of September. I'm not doing any fancy stuff to them, but I have been dying paper for the last 2 weeks. I still have one more week to go. I'm saving this video so that I can do it when I'm done with this project.❤

After searching my quilt books. I remembered it's called the braid pattern. Another similar version is the French braid pattern. The second block is not immediately coming to mind. ❤ the idea of using paper to create quilt patterns.

I already miss my kids being little. I have a 4 year old, 2 year old, and #3 will be here in September. We know this is the last one and I’m already missing my babies being babies. Plus my 4 year old doesn’t always want to be my baby anymore. I can’t understand why 😂 I got a “diagnosis” recently that sums up my life thoroughly: I borrow worry.

Hello Melina, I'm behind on my video watchings as usual. Thanks for sharing about your Mom, when she didn't have videos up for awhile I had a feeling something was going on. But I'm so happy that she is doing well and not in pain like she was. I really didn't know she was in so much pain. I love your patterns on the journal cards. I'm sure you could. Just make sure the fabric is adhered well. If the fabric is thin, double sided tape or a good glue stick should hold it.
