Hi Biata just stated watching your channel you have come a long way with your chain saw cutting good for you. For collecting sap using tubing drill a hole in the lid of the bucket the size of your tubing or slightly smaller so the tube fits tight. You can also use silicone around the tube this will keep rain water out of the bucket. 👍

For what its worth the yellow sap happens when the sap sits for a few days especially if it is warmer outside. It is perfectly fine to use as long as it is not real cloudy. If there is too much or too dark yellow it can lower the quality of the syrup a bit but would still be very very good. The Amish save even REALLY dark sap they get toward the end of the season and boil it separately and it is sold to candy makers.
