TAKE TWO!🤞😅 Unfortunately the original upload got Age-Restricted and de-monetized by YT for policy violations and our appeal was rejected, so we've made some small changes to hopefully avoid that happening again and keep it viewable for you all! 😕 Thanks so much for all the support as we got things sorted! 🥰 For anyone wondering why we used Acetal plastic and not bronze for the bushings, we gave the customer both options but bronze was 5 times the cost so they chose the cheaper option 👍 🔔Hit the notification bell so you never miss our new weekly video. ✍Leave a comment below with your questions or thoughts. 🔓Get Early Access & Ad Free videos in our Patreon community: www.patreon.com/cuttingedgeengineering 🛒Check out all our CEE Merch here: www.ceeshop.com.au

I keep wondering why I find it wonderfully mesmerizing to watch metal (and plastic) being machined. Maybe it's the exactness of the results while swarf flies wildly about. Maybe it's watching rust-coated material turn into gleaming silver parts. Maybe its the sound of things getting done (without a music track). Maybe it's great camera angles letting the viewer feel like a tool being used in the whole process. Anyway, this NZ-born American really enjoys watching your channel. Cheers.

@Azlehria6 ай бұрын
The flip side is that harder-wearing bushings often produce more wear on the shaft. I've seen shafts worn down relatively quickly after someone "upgraded" to brass or bronze, after decades of service with OE-equivalent plastics. One option I would have preferred as the customer - and it may have been offered - would be a second pair of bushings, to be replaced in 3-6 months. That would allow the wear rate to be checked and a PM schedule determined.
