I've welded some hefty hex bar into 10# and 14# heads to make some very tough hammers. They're nearly indestructible, but very unpleasant to use. My go-to at work is a 10# head with one face rounded and smoothed on a 10-12" octagonal wood handle. It has excellent utility in most situations and can be used for long periods without the fatigue you get from metal handles.

Great build. Where's the ball at the end of the shaft? I know it would add weight, but I think it would help balance it out so it's easier to swing or change directions of swings like we see in the film.

It's gorgeous ... but an all steel shaft and handle is surely gonna result in some pretty nasty hand shock when you beat stuff with it. 😄 If it was any bigger it could almost double as an Indian Gada Mace. Great build to watch. 👍
