Sea salt naturally balances the skins pH. Many thinks it dries out the skin. Not. It opens up the pores. The trick is to apply moisturizer ( cream/oil/lotion) while spores are open. It makes the skin absolutely beautiful. Thank you Ms Ruth.💕💕💕💕

I made these yesterday. Instead of red reef clay, I just used Australian red clay. The color isn’t as deep but still very beautiful, and easy to find the clay on Amazon. I had to try as soon as I popped it out of the form. It’s a hard soap so I thought it’s ok. I’ll let the rest cure for 4-6 weeks. Oh my goodness. This is the most gentle moisturizing soap I have ever used. I’m literally in love with them. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe. I really and truly appreciate YOU.💕🙏🏻🌿❤️. You are a fantastic teacher. Love and gratitude sweet Ruth.💕💕💕

First, Thank you for doing tutorials, you're a great teacher. I listen and ask myself a question and you answer, LOL .. I have one thing on processing Aloe, This works for me. :) and relatives that are allergic to aloe. If you cut off the end of the stem and put the stem in water for about 10 min to get some of the green slime out, ( aloeteen or same as aloe latex) this is what most people are allergic to) then I use a potato peeler to get the skin off. I then soak the gel till the water is clear. Then I blend and put it into ice cube trays. Ready to go.. Just a thought.. I did make this salt bar, for the first time WOW, Mine got thick really fast, but learned a lot. Can't wait to make it again.

I LOVE this little bar. The colors together are gorgeous, the little flower molds make a very easy to use shape ( i prefer the shape for washing, though bars are easier to store/dry bc they take up less real estate per piece). I find myself playing with it whenever i use it. I grt my suds on my hands then just rub the lather into a thick, whipped-creamy froth. So delightful and fun to use! - Jade

My favorite soap to make. ❤️❤️❤️Truly beautiful and so good. It’s very rich and buttery and not at all drying, in fact in time of covid craziness, it is a neutral disinfectant due to the disinfectant and purifying qualities. Ms. Ruth, the Australian red reef clay is discontinued, from the link you left, and I could not find it anywhere, however the Australian red clay also gives a beautiful color and I added a bit of iron oxide pigment, which is also natural. It turned out just beautiful. I give to to friends and neighbors and they’re loving it. Anyway. Love and gratitude to you for introducing such a gorgeous artwork of salt. God bless you, Ukraine and the whole world. ❤️🙏🏻💚👍💓🇺🇦💕☮️🌎🍀🥰❤️

I made a aloe leaf soap with coconut oil a few months back as one of my just getting started projects. I made ice cubes with the aloe jelly process with a mini blender to a syrup and used the lye to do the melt thing. I had no issues but most importantly, I didn’t know that I was doing🤫. Some of the bars curled a little after some time. It seems the more I learn about soap making, the worse I get. I think it’s called learning . I did try your recipe for the salt soap but, didn’t use any color or scent. Just wanted to see how this would work with all that salt. Soaped at 95 degrees. Came out of my mini molds pure white and maybe a little brittle on the edges. Good going teacher👏👏👏

I just made a batch of raspberry sorbet salt bars today, I did them in a loaf mold though as I don't have enough individuals in similar designs. They have a bit of a rough texture as they got a bit crumbly (I'll definitely invest in those molds soon) bit look and smell wonderful! I have noticed aloe Vera gel when mixed at trace doesn't accelerate too bad, but in my lye solution or in the oils it does. The raspberry sorbet fragrance from Aztec seriously slowed trace, even in my salt soap!

@@EllenRuthSoap it smells amazing! I'm definitely going to keep that fragrance around even if just for myself - especially if I wanna try something super intricate. I've switched to doing milk or other liquid in oils or at trace as I feel it doesn't accelerate or discolor my lye solution (I can't seem to go slow enough 😂). But I love the look of your salt bars! Wish I could get my hands on that clay, shame it's no longer available.

Hi Ellen, I'm si excited with this Spa bars, I will sugest to you something, that is to extract the Aloin from the aloe vera Leaf, is too easy, only you have to do is put the Leaf cutted in warm Water by a 40 minutes at least, when the Water turns Orange, the process will be done. Is better For skin and the soap's quality will be Better.

Gorgeous as usual 👌👌. Why have you split the 20 ounces of aloevera juice and added half with lye and added the other half into the oils?? You could have prepared your lye solution completely with 20 ounces of aloevera juice right?? Does it make any difference?? I have fresh Aloe Vera plants at home. I thought of freezing it to make my lye solution with that. So just curious to know if I have to do as you've did..
@EllenRuthSoap
@EllenRuthSoap 2 жыл бұрын
When I'm using fresh aloe gel, I like to add it to the oils. When I'm only using aloe juice (the watery liquid) I prefer to make my lye solution with it. It's just what works for me. If using fresh aloe gel in lye, having it frozen is best to prevent scorching.
