As a Canadian who studied at American schools, I am sorry that this happened, and I'm glad it was not worse. However, America has always stood tall among the nations and had its principles that it has stood its ground on even amongst adversaries. Remember that the tie that binds you together is stronger than the nuisance you have with each other. In a way that is like it is with family. You may not always get along together, but woe betide the person who seeks to harm any one of you.

How can you be shocked? Political violence has been so prevalent in the USA for the last 100 years. And lethal violence generally is very common in the USA.

The historical perspective is very helpful here. There have been many times in our history with much worse division and violence, including the civil war era, the 1920s, and the late 1960s.

Was the Secret Service agent who decided to allow the rooftop to go unguarded, the same SS agent that Melanie is having an affair with? How many members of Trump’s security detail would Melanie be willing to sleep with, in order to insure that she doesn’t have to go back to the White House? On a related note, did you notice that Trump has at least two women on his security detail? Did he pick women in hope to have at least some of his detail that Melanie wouldn’t sleep with? Maybe he forgot about his wife’s lesbian pictures. Either way, it’s nice to see that Trump has changed his stance on DEI hires.
