In the welding business you do not have scrap you got big pieces of metal and small pieces of metal all of them have a price lol

Good on the fly metal repair anything lesson, because you have it, good in stock and pre price increase inflation thinking as well, great planning after all these two think a small piece of scrap is only limited to making a smaller future part. Lance & Patrick.

Needs a couple outriggers on the point to keep the head perpendicular to the surface.

I'm afraid the screw you installed to take up the slack of the torch orifice will gouge the copper. I don't have any experience with gas torches so I don't know it heat would be a problem. But, if you found a bearing that would snug the copper orifice and made a sleeve that fit the out bearing surface that you could weld to the threaded rod. Well, you get the picture. Just thinking out loud. Finished watching. I miss understood your design. My description describes a circle cutter were the threaded rod revolves around the orifice. Think of a connecting rod rotating the crank shaft.

Hey I'm looking at a Hobart champion elite 225 or maybe the 260 I have a little 110 Miller 141 amp MIG welder can I run that gas MIG welder on that Hobart? Also if I want to get a 220/110 bigger MIG welder could I run that off the 50 amp 220 breaker no problem welding at least a 1/4" to 3/8"? I saw you welding aluminum in one of your videos but it looked like it was a box welder.

I think I'd cut a slot for your hand to go though the upright part of the angle, instead of a handle that sticks out. I'd reinforce with some rebar around the cutout on the inside, if it ends up removing a lot.

That punch is cast that's why it doesn't like welding

Hey Dan, put a nut on torch tip with set bolt like you did for the turner, but make it at the right height so it’ll sit on burn bar and keep tip the right height. And all you have to do is dragging along your straight edge perfect cut every time
