I think the sanding blocks make a big difference, I once heard somebody say on a sculpting video that sanding is sculpting and it has stuck with me, thanks

Tampa FL, You inspire me to make my own lures. While I'm not as technical as you, my lures need some tweaking still. I use 5/8 dowel rod and carve/ whittle and sand to shape. Keep up the great work!

It is about the softest wood, but I have not finished this project or tested the lure so it still could be a bit of a banana despite looking easy. Oddly in my mind before a project I always think they are going to be hard to make but the making part always comes easier than the filming part. thanks

Have you ever thought of making a lure that is somehow hollow or with an air pocket to allow scents to be injected into it? I would imagine water pressure and lure action might help release the scent trail. Probably need to inject it so as not to have a hole which would leak badly when you cast. You keep your shop tidy mate, I also have a workshop but struggle to find 2 square inches to work on. oh well, one day I'll be organised!

I have put slits in the belly of soft plastics and inserted a sponge soaked in fish sauce which has work really well i even had a pike take the lure as a dead bait when it was lying on the bottom. Maybe in future video I can show how to cast a belly cavity into the lure, thanks

Hello, I have a question : I was trying to make myself a wooden lure for pike fishing, but the only way for me to make the lure sink, was to add lots and lots of weights under it ( which made it very heavy for my 40-100g rod) !Where I live, pikes hide at about 5-10m underwater .... Could someone explain me how I could make my wooden lure sink faster, while keeping it not "very" heavy ? Thank you
