If you structured the web you made it would be 5x stronger! This is because 5 points (the sticks). And 15 feet of web, divided by 5 is 3, so assuming the 5 points were in perfect shape and the web was weaved 3 times over inbetween each strand to the middle, it would make it able to withstand (if the original was 15 grams of force, it could with stand 75 grams. though, spidey’s webs have weaving in the rapid release shooting mechanism, so his much stronger polycarbonate webs ( let’s say 10 kg withstanding pressure by one) times by 2 would be 20kg, and with his web weaving shots with about 40 weaves between 20 points each would lead his webs to withstand roughly 200kg or pressure in a 10cm radius. This would mean that 10 meters between buildings with much more points and weaves would make his webs be able to hold over 500kg of pressure depending on the sections provided, so spidery could indeed hold a helicopter above ground, which makes the homecoming scene which he holds a boat together, not so farfetched I’m a fucking nerd, aren’t I

Okay... So, here's my Idea- if anyone sees this, that is. Titanium is a relatively light metal- and incredibly durable, and could be able to make two tanks on the back of the hero, or whatever they choose to use it for. One filled with Hexanediamine, and the other with Sebacoyl chloride. This would be a simple way to separate them. The tanks would connect to the two web shooters, and shoot out the web. Liquid would also come out however, and I can't be bothered to find a way to fix that. Thanks for reading
@liampope33266 жыл бұрын
Or just fill pressurised cartridges with both chemicals, connected thru a tube that shoots the web using pressurised air or sum shit

Moon Head I had a similar idea to yours, actually. Two tanks of the substances connected to a pressurizing pump with the hoses connected to a single web shooter with the two ends meeting right outside the shooter. The pressure would make it go forward.

I have an idea, I'm not that knowledge about chemistry so this idea might seem far fetched but here we go: 1. Find some way to concentrate the chemicals so you can have a much more potent amount in a smaller size. 2. Some kind of Gas propellant alongside the compound to force the mixture out (and as it comes out of the nozzle it will react with each other to form the rope?) Perhaps two different chambers with a liquid in each for this effect? (Provided it isn't corrosive or leaks fumes.) 3. if making a more concentrated liquid and it is harmful to touch, a third liquid to neutralise the PH scale of the mixture? (If possible, this seems like a must, provided it doesn't start breaking down the bonds of the new mixture. Any comments are welcome and like I say, my chemistry knowledge is limited.

That's what polymers do. Now of course not all of them do what's shown in the video, but they all have that kind of reaction. That's the basics to crafting plastics actually, all plastics are polymers. Paint is too most of times, but in those it's obviously never only polymers, cause you need to have the paint colored or resist the reaction when still in the can etc... Polymers are just one of the biggest inventions.

@kingturtle4306 жыл бұрын
Well there’s a answer to how u can hold on to the tiny nylon rope I saw somewhere in some books about boats there’s a part in the boat that grabs on to a rope or something and the more pressure but on the rope the tighter that part would hold it so if u could make that in pocket size witch I’m sure u can attach the rope there and that device will hold ur body weight

What if you could somehow combine this with carbon nanotubes AND make it adhesive? When Spiderman shoots his webs, they seem to flower out at the top, meaning that in theory it is most likely more sticky as it spreads out. I think that the way that would happen it that as the web flies through the air, the friction separates the web and causes it to do the signature web like production at the end, causing the web to stick to surfaces. Or perhaps its like a bullet, when it hits a surface it compresses the metal outwards and makes it wider. Something tells me, in the near future, we will be seeing something like these.

I am more of a batman fan, but that is awesome, and the cartridges spiderman use for his webs: in theory he may or may not use those chemicals to carefully conceal them together in between the cartridge with air pressure and when he extends his wrist as the trigger the air pressure begins mixing the chemicals; transforming his web fluid.

You should customise a water gun so that in the water chamber it's two tanks and fill one and the other with the stuff and the two tubes become one so they have enough time to mix to become the string and it'll shoot I don't know I'm just "thinking out loud"

A few takes on Spiderman have him shoot web from his wrists unaided. The most popular being the Raimi directed trilogy of films. However in his original incarnation and in most versions he uses his mass intellect to create a web shooter that uses liquid polymer cartridges to shoot the web.
@trstech31287 жыл бұрын
You aren't the first to say that nylon 6,10 is what spider-man uses. I know a whole lot of people who do. This is more for the viewers. This cannot be used due to the reaction also producing HCl (Hydrochloric Acid) or Gastric Acid. Very nasty stuff. So finding a cartridge that won't be destroyed from HCl and destroyed is pretty hard. However there are some people that i know that has made a web shooter with two separate cartridges and would work with a two part solution.

I think that could work because you could just use air pressure in the two separate containers to shoot them through a pipe to meet each other then shoot out.

what happens if u soak the polymer chain back in the liquid solution does it reform back to fluid and only form a chain when being pulled out? or does it stay in polymer chain once pulled, or in other words, would it reform back to liquid when heated?
@TheActionLab7 жыл бұрын
it stays a polymer even if you put it back in. It's not reversible. Even if you heat it it will stay a solid until 215 C, at its melting point.
