Hello Crafter,
today I finally made my first handkerchiefs. Or are they called tissues? 😂 I am german so I am not quite sure.
But I am certain that after spending so much time and effort on those "handkerchiefs" I am more likely to actually use them on my journey to live more sustainably and create less waste.
You can totally get away with buying reusable tissues but what would be the fun in that? 😉
Instead, I decided to not just sew but embroider my handkerchiefs (I just can´t decide which word to use forgive me 🙈). There are so many lovely embroidery stitches. Back stitch, chain stitch, fly stitch, zig zag stitch, herringbone stitch, cross stitch.
It took me hours, but I learned something through it and they turned out so beautiful that I will simply have to use them to show them off 😂 (maybe, we will see).
So in this little DIY tutorial, I want to show you 6 easy embroidery stitches for the hems.
I hope you´ll enjoy the video and that you might embroider your own handkerchiefs/tissues/hankies/Taschentücher/whatever. 😊
Love Lexi
