question 1) you never use "bass mono" feature of utility . You only decrease widening of bass. Wont be a problem for phase issues for lower frequencies? question 2) You always producing with limiter i think because your master peak always reach -0 db. Do you stage your gains after arrangement section ? Could you open this subject please. By the way, you always make our minds clearer with your tutorials. Thank you.

Yan! I'm absolutely addicted to all your work! Great stuff! Could you possibly do a video about live jamming? I have started making tech about a year ago and my first piece of hardware was Novation Launchkey 25. When I go through my projects from about 6 months ago they are higly oriented on me just jamming live (playing with knobs to open filters and effects or buttons to start/stop tracks). Very begginers stuff where I just use drum rack with different clips with or without certain elements as hats or claps + some tracks with synths or one shot effects. I have bought AKAI APC 40 MKII because of how fun life jamming is (I've been playing guitar for about 14 years now jamming to my own recordings or backing tracks) and ever since I've got it I just don't know how to utilise it... I see you have sepparate tracks for claps/hats or groups even and I have tried this approach multiple times - allways getting lost and not knowing what more sounds to add or what parameters to manipulate... -Sorry for long comment :x Thank you for your great work!

@truxx69853 жыл бұрын
Hi Yan! Great vid as always. I saw that you use the standard compression/utility/limiter on all your sounds. However, for the claps you did not use compression. Is there a specific reason why you did not do this?
@YanCook3 жыл бұрын
Yes, because I use compressor for sidechain and I don't use sidechain with claps 🙃
@truxx69853 жыл бұрын
@@YanCook Damn, I forgot about that. However, why would you sidechain the open high hats and cymbals? They are not really interfering with the kick.
