I guarantee this knife will be covered in moose blood this September. Side note, i just forge welded an 80crv2 bit into a 6lb 4142 speed felling/ splitting axe. My biggest axe so far. If you make a quarter in. scraper that is square it's easier to scrape the solder even if you use a utility blade

400 grit sanding would be just right, but it wouldn’t hurt to work on the cleanliness! Good job!

Thanks! Yes sir, also similar to Randall knives. Soldering the guard seems to have fallen out of vogue in recent decades, but it's a solid and practical solution.

@@FireCreekForge Is that the steel that you use the majority of the time? I assume it is the most durable and also allows for the sharpest edge or less need to sharpen in the field? I am new to knives and trying to educate myself so I can buy a special knife for hubs. I value your skill and vids to teach the consumer. I also want to support a family business in the USA.
