I think that in shogun 2 are not indicated the cityes like in the other total war but the castle: infact in the siege maps there aren't any houses onli the fortification with walls and even some defensive buoilding like the archertowers and the tower of the castle, what do you think about this? Maybe in Japan the fortifications where separated from the cities?

Avatar conquest would be great for 3 kingdoms. Especially since the general can be customize with items, weapons, and armor. You could make the items random drop after a battle or something. And you could easily bring back veteran units like in Shogun 2. Heck the color customizing for units would fit too since all the units between the factions are so similar. I can dream....

Maybe I’m biased, but defending as FOTS almost always gets you a win, only time I don’t see it happening is if every attacker brings an Armstrong gun. Then you just sit back and cry.

I'm pretty sure he was getting them to waste ammo, running back and forth with a cheap unit in missile range. Got bow warrior monks to oblige him, so not bad.

You should played in our last to battles on War of Rights 14th Brooklyn because it was so intense we lost but the volleys and the charging part of it were really cool..

I agree with what you said about avatar conquest with warhammer, definetly would work, they won’t do it but I hope warhammer 3 has it. Frankly the campaigns get old quick so if multiplayer is basic and boring I don’t buy total wars anymore. Might get warhammer 3 if they release a version with dlc from the other 2 but even then. Maybe not. Bannerlord though, that’s a game I can get behind and waste my life playing.

The one thing that ruined this game for me was being defenseless during a siege against an attacking faction that had a ton of archers. They would just rain down death EVERY SIEGE.

Either having cavalry or some archers yourself is mandatory for a balanced army, that and you can always sally out with yari samurai to stop archers. Finally you can somewhat cheese the AI by placing disposable unit just behind a gatehouse or building, arrows are not bullets and cant penetrate or arc over tall structures, you can delay archer fire this way on one side of your garrison.

Shogun2 multiplayer "balance" Vanilla troops < low vets < DLC units < High Vets < DLC HIGH LEVEL VETS So if you play with vanilla troops that aren't vets you'll never win Example: fire rockets < Hand mortars By just being a DLC unit, its immediately way better If you put a yari sams unit on a huge slope and charge fire cav up at it the cav will win. Tested. Also if you enter into any DLC allowed game, all the players will immediately choose either FOTS units or have all entirely ROTS units. cause everyone knows you cant win with vanilla irrespective of strategy. This isn't a strategy game its a high tier unit game.
