Yep, Ainge was a 3 sport all American in high school.... what clayton left out was that Ainge played for the Toronto Blue Jays before deciding basketball was his thing and joining the Celtics

McHale had some great moves under the basket. I heard or read that he got called for traveling a few times early on, refs had never seen anything like him. He asked the refs to review the footage at their leisure because they would see that he didn't move his pivot foot. Yup. When they looked it over, he was right.

The 1972-'73 Celtics actually had the most wins. They had 68 and could've won the championship had their star, John Havlicek, not get injured. But this 1986 team was better. They faced tougher competition and had the best chemistry I've seen from any basketball team. When I watched game 6 against Houston, I thought that Larry Bird was completely out of control. He was everywhere and used frenetic chaos as his main weapon. Combine that with his genius IQ and that very well may have been his greatest game ever. It's also the best defensive game I've ever seen him play. Great vid bro.

Everyway you look at it, the 1986 team was the best team ever. They did not win more games because they got bored that season during the regular season. They where that good.

*Carl* THIS ONE was way cool.! Lots of footage and info I didn't know about or had seen.! FYI no audio for about 2 min close to the beginning bro.! No big deal but thought you would want to know.! I have TWO teams IMHO that I consider the G.O.A.T. teams.! (85-86 Celtics) and the (95-96 Bulls) ! I personally don't think there is any other team close to that.! Perhaps the 2016-2017 Warriors or the 2002 Lakers.! But FOR ME it's those two that TRULY STAND OUT.!! *EXCELLENT VIDEO CHOICE*

Thanks! A phenomenal year. Everyone on the same page with the same goal. Imagine what that season was like for the fans!! And they went into the Finals without Wedman being available off the bench. He got a couple of cracked ribs in the playoff games against the Bucks. ☹️ Still got a ring tho 👍😁
