For long delays, I sometimes use pulse extenders connected to redstone torches (via repeaters into blocks) followed by a rising edge monostable circuit.

Why didn't you use comparator pulse extenders, and then do a falling-edge pulse off of those for delays? It saves so much space

@@kuribeiji I was just suggesting to use comparator extenders instead of a long, long line of repeaters. He has a mono-stable circuit at the end of it anyway, so it's not like the pulse-length itself matters. Not the pistons, the long line of repeaters

Make a redstone roller coaster, but it uses EVERY block inside the redstone creative menu tab. (you can use other blocks as well, not just redstone tab blocks)

Really wish you'd shown off what it does to a pattern in the sand. My guess is that it would reverse each time, since the far right side is the first to be pushed into the stream and become the far left side, but I think from bottom to top it would stay the same?

I can imagine concrete being used for this as a trap countdown, where dispensers also water the concrete, sealing you in/out if you don't make it in time (in adventure mode).

@Mumbo Jumbo...a slow hopper clock can be modified to only fire one cycle...if you attach an observer to the to the cycle torch you can have a fully adjustable pulse delay timer

MUMBO!!!!! I came up with an UPGRADE to this door design: you raise up the area where the door gets built by about 6 ish blocks (however many would be needed) and keep the actual door you go through on the same level, and so you have a pre-build door 1 layer up, and for the closing you just drop it down to the layer below (where the door currently is)

Mumbo! The new block named scaffolding has some very cool characteristics. Like you can walk through them but they can be pushed with pistons and you can also go up or down through them. Can you do some weird redstone stuff and make something cool with them?

If you wanted to compact this: Use pulse extenders hooked up to a falling edge monostable. They will get you the same delay in a smaller space. Plus, you don't need a ton of repeaters.

you should use the little drops of water that fall off the bottom of a blocks combined with dipensers to make cool water patterns on the cieleng of a house

You should try one that throws the block from a larger distance into said door, could throw them from multiple directions as well. Making a door appear from nowhere (or the sky :P)

You should consider getting sand position with observer instead of having long delay. Here are some explanation (pardon my poor English) : - you should be able to detect the presence of a sand block at the top of the water column - you should be able to detect or count the blocks you remove from the bottom in order to fire your bottom pistons every time you finish a column. - now that I think of it, you can fire your bottom pistons every time you push a block up, it will let them move only if they can push blocks. - you should be able to detect the absence of blocks at the bottom to stop the system. Hope my ideas aren't too dumb ^^

Hey jumbo, this is a crazy idea but could you try build a flying machine BUILDER? Since all pieces of a flying machine are movable, you could have a stream of mass produced flying machines, only needing the required blocks. I don’t really know how it would work but I’m sure the great redstone lord mambo shall know :D

Mumbo!!! If you build this on the Hermitcraft server make it extra fancy. Make it as big as possible and have the sand thrown in from somewhere far off that you wouldn’t expect to be related to the door.
