Do you have any tips for making it with cardboard?
@travelingspade9537 Жыл бұрын
@@owlgirl4171 since most cardboard is corrugated it's easier to bend along one specific direction (look at the wavy lines inside of a piece of cardboard) when making curved pieces keep that in mind so you know which orientation you should cut a piece.

Battastic tutorials!!!!!!! I love thrifting too. I did purchase two 2yd fabrics yesterday from Walmart. I picked out what I like too. One is brown and the other is tan. I planned on for the brown on the outside and the tan inside. I sew it all together yesterday too with no cutting. My flight suit is a scrub jacket (Black) and scrub pants (Black). I bought both from the Salvation Army. All I have left to do is the small details for the cape, and the shoulders for today. Next will be the right gauntlet, my belt, blaster, and rifle.

job well done! a couple of tidbits of advice... if you ever need to correct a color that was not intended on leather-like your shoe polish incident on the gloves... you can use denatured alcohol and it'll come right off... you'll want to oil up the gloves (if necessary) so that way they don't crack down the road. Also if you ever have details that need more rigidity... I've always used For Sale Signs instead of foam as they are cheap but rigid plastic. needless to say, this was very informative! Subscribed!!

You should make a Spider-Man costume complete with web-wings The one from far from home will probably be the most popular candidate but I will include tips perfect for both movies For the web-wings I’d recommend: . Cut the wing shapes out of a mesh laundry bag and glue some plastic wrap to the mesh these things work together to make the solid yet translucent quality that’s in both MCU movies . You can tape some barbecue skewers together to make some rods then paint the rods black (maybe use plasti-dip to make them last longer) for the rod effect that’s in homecoming . Maybe make the basic line work using a net I personally like to make the net myself but that’s because my web-shooter shoots a string and it’s cheaper to reuse the yarn (I know in the actual movie it’s kind of a grid pattern that looks like it could be made with pencil but when you look at it from far away it looks completely white so I think white string would be the best call here) . In homecoming there are these 3 horizontal lines, they could be rods just like the vertical ones but honestly I don’t think so since the rods probably allow the wings to work by kite logic and kites usually only need 3 rods . . . okay fine I just really wanted there to be a difference because I crave complexity, so those horizontal lines should be black puff paint . Can’t get them to deploy like they would in the movie as that would involve a spring mechanism, but you could get it to where you press your arms against the edge and they hook together with Velcro allowing you to spread them out . Attach them to extra fabric that’ll be under the suit mostly because Spider-Man has a girlfriend and I think it’d be a cute gesture for him to remove his web wings and wrap them around her like a blanket There are other details that you could touch up too . You can add pieces of soda bottle to make the lenses look more like lenses (and if you can’t find sheer fabric gauze is a damn good substitute) . The fingerless glove effect could be a knee high sock with notches cut in it
