You dreamt about traveling to Pyro, and when you woke up, you were still in Stanton. xD

This is actually a really intresting way of doing interstellar FTL travel, making the trip faster, but not really any less treacherous with the pilot still needing the skill to safely navigate the wormhole to the other side. It's always fun to see how different sci-fi worlds do FTL travel, and I'm glad to see its not just a cut scene that pops you out in Pyro.

This! There are the typical redditors complaining it's "too long" and "too hard", but it SHOULD be long and hard (plus it's used as a way to stream out the former solar system and stream in all of the assets and planets for the new solar system, so it has to be long enough for minimum spec PCs and high spec PCs to get through the entire stream process; Berks saw firsthand what happened when it doesn't stream everything in properly and you basically get a black void with only faint highlights of gaseous POIs (it looked cool and scary but obviously was broken)).

Aside from the ship breaking down, that did seem like one of the smoothest traversals through the tunnel I've seen.

It's awesome to see 4.0 starting to come online with Evo testing. I cant wait to to be able travel between systems like Pyro and many others in the future, especially when the new dynamic Economy is brought into the game. It will give a purpose to trade and a result if we do not. Shelves could be empty of the things we want to buy due to lack of resources to make them.
@NotUnymous2 ай бұрын
The dynamic Eco (Quanta) seems to be something for dynamic server mashing wich is probably a couple of years away. I doubt that static server mashing will see an implementation of their dynamic Eco T1/T0. What I realy want to say: please dont be disappointed If it wont come in 2025 or 2026 and try to enjoy what SC is giving you to date. 🙂
@moviemaker2011z2 ай бұрын
agreed! i want to be a cargo runner and having a dynamic economy would make it all the more worth it. i havent had a chance to play to much due to my work life which means i havent had a chance to mess with the new cargo mechanics they included, but im sure i could figure it out quickly with a few hours of attempts.
@kyoko46512 ай бұрын
@@NotUnymous Just an FYI, they renamed "Qaunta"/ "The Quantum Simulation" to "Star Sim" As a Second FYI, (according to Waka Waka(Wakapedia)) Dynamic meshing wont be a "Big bang" it will just slowly happen, for example in the current tech previews SM is already kind of dynamic, it cant spin up new servers, but it can reallocate server resources across authority zones depending on load (even if at the moment the algorithm for deciding that isnt too great)

Love the video, as always! Super excited to get this step added to the game! If I won the ship package, I'd be giving it to my son who's interested in playing! Nomad is a great ship for starting out. You can do so many things with it. Its cargo bed can fit ROC and even Cyclone, so you can do bunker missions and rock mining with it. It has 3S3 turrets and great canopy allowing for great visibility and smooth first person take off and landing. It has two downsides. First - for a ship concept that should be self sustainable like a truck /RV living on the road it has ridiculously small hydrogen tank. You need to refuel it all the time. Second - you cannot access cargo bed from the cabin, you need to get out via ladder. Other than that - I love my Nomad

Kate, you weren't jumping through the worm-hole there, you were surfing that Zeus! That was awesome to watch and it's a shame you didn't get to the exit on that run but I'm guessing that there's a distortion build up in your components being that close to the walls. Damn shame indeed. Was Charge and Drain included in that build? Probably not but I imagine that will be part of the solution once it's in. Thanks as always to yourself (and the crew)

There is one without fail, from Pyro back to stanton. absolutely great work from CIG on how those are done. Kate was about halfway through. Basicly the colorshift marks the middle and transition to the "Pyro half" of the jump. She seems to "crashland" by flying to close to the edge of the jump. Fingers crossed.
