Hearing you say "this is all I was able to accomplish in this video" made me sad because it should be "this is everything I accomplished" because you did do a lot and you did it very well! I hope you know that and if not, I'm here to tell you that you did a great job and you made people happy and you inspired people with this video. Because of your video, I have decided that one day, when the time is right, I am going to stop everything I was doing and take a couple months off to build a dollhouse and fullfill my dreams!

thank you for this reminder Kaisoep! I used to push myself a lot harder to try and get more done, but I got exhausted doing that. So I guess I compare what I get done now to what I used to do. At first when you mentioned what kind of floor Delia would have, I guessed marble, but as soon as I saw your speckled concrete I knew you were right. 🤣 That came out gorgeous! I don't like concrete floors because I prefer a little springiness where I walk, but also because whenever I see it, typically it just screams _lifeless trend chaser aesthetic_ to me. Yours was actually something I'd admire, so that's saying something, trust me. I remembered you had some issues with your block wall, so I was excited to see how the island would go. Tell your sis she is the resin MVP! Having someone experienced help you through using the product on an important project was a smart move that definitely paid off. Plus I agree that the texture of the alternating line pattern actually made it look even better. The museum is definitely going to want this house! It is huge in that kitchen, but it's probably accurate to the set proportions. I think centered with the length putting the sink toward the stovetop nook looks best. As for the countertop finish... (warning: long speculative/experimental suggestion incoming) next time you need to do a super smooth glossy finish over paint to emulate marble or glass or stone, maybe try adding a layer of that resin. Obviously you'd want to test this on a few samples made of the same material first, but what I'm thinking is, much like the life-size projects that makers finish with resin, the liquid will self-level and protect all in one. For a countertop with a rounded lip (or possibly for any miniature that only needs a very thin coat), rather than building a form around the countertop to contain the resin layer, I'm thinking just set up a reservoir/catch basin. As long as your catch basin is bigger than your project's surface on all sides, you should be good to go. Put a riser inside the basin to hold some pins for the countertop to rest on, and mix up enough resin to cover the surface plus a bit extra for runoff. If you use a bowl/dish made of silicone for the basin, I think many resins can be peeled off of that once they've cured, and you would have a clean bowl ready to use again.

Oh Stormy, you are so helpful. When are you going to take over the business? 😛 So, I am not sure why you were so nervious, the kitchen island turned out great! I have to say, while (I think?) it was Jazza that recommended this craft channel as a fellow maker way back in the day, it was your work on the stain-glass windows for the Captain's quarters that really made me fall in love with this channel. Ever since, miniature "glass" work facinate me in modelling! 😀 Glass block partitions/walls is also very nice in RL if done well. You should be proud of it, even the tabletop itself even if it had some... No, there are no flaws, just happy accidents! I know you have to follow the wall s tyle as shown in the movie, BUT I just have to say that the halfway point with teh blue on white looked really good, nice contrast. Maybe revisist that part in another project in the future? Just a thought. 😉 Also another thought, bringin in extended family in one way or another really boosts the enjoyment factor. I am not saying put the any which way in every video (except Stormy!) but maybe when it is applicable. Your daughter DID do a good job standing in when your voice failed, and your sis fit in nicely to aid you in doing the things you were worried about. I mean, you are still the main attraction here but that does not mean yyou have to do everything new without help. Though I HAVE to admit it is sort of fun watching you fumble through learning new tools. Nothing BAD about that, everyone learning a new skill or tool have to go throught the same process. If anything I am proud of you for ACTUALLY doing it on camera. And you DO improve and it is now part of your tool-kit. Well done! Man I am rambling, sorry about that. 😐Again, well done! Bit late, the video sort of went unnoticed in my feed for a few days, I DO enjoy you making the Beetejuice house/underworld. I keep saying I should re-watch the movie - I will! I promise. Some day... 😛

Amazing Ara!! I'm so glad that resin worked out for you I have watched your catastrophic moment long ago...I understand that feeling! But wow it was so clear you couldn't even tell it was there on some parts! I would definitely want to redo the window as well. Maybe for future use instead of diamond glaze ..try the mod podge super gloss..or demensional magic...wonder if that would work better. Love the speckled floor..came out so great looks amazing against everything. GREAT WORK!!❤❤❤👏👏👏

My sister helped with the resin so much by just being a knowledgeable presence and keeping me calm and patient lol! I will have to call her from now on ;) Thank you so much my friend!

I like it in the center and I think it would look nice if you align it with the doorway in front of it!

Thank you Giu! I have a few other things to build in there but I hope to get it as centered as possible😊

I was just pulled from a nap by a force that told me that I need to wake up. It was the algorithm gods telling me there's another Beetlejuice video by Ara.

The kitchen looks great. The island needs to be in the middle of the room so the figures can move around it (in theory).

My husband needs a desk and chair like that.he has a bad back and works from home.

It took me until the end of the video, to realize you didn't mean he has a desk like Delia :DD

It's really nice to be able to adjust it for the type of work I am doing and make myself sit up straight👍 I have back issues too so I know how important ergonomics can be!

Awesome desk. I am glad to see this project coming along quickly. I think you just might beat your 11 year record on this one compared to the Addams mansion. I absolutely love the fridge and how it looks with the rest of the kitchen. I dunno its just something about the blue walls that make everything pop.

I really hope I am able to beat that record! I would really love to have it finished up sometime in 2025. But that year is coming up faster and faster lol! Thank you so much Jay!

This looks so great! In my opinion the kitchen island needs to be in the middle even ifnit looks a bit big - but at a wall sideways it doesn’t make sense for me. I’m courious where you will put it once the project is finished 😅

Thank you Claudia!! I hope to be able to display it like I have the Addams Family house... after that I have no idea!😄

The counter top kind of looks like terrazzo, delia is the kind of personality who would have one 😅.

That is a pretty cool table. love how stormy is stealing the show. I've had that same problem with that glaze, I had to let it sit for like a week before it stopped being takky. in the movie I think the island is at a 45 degree angle to the wall, it's a odd set up, so call it a floating island. haha.

She always steals the show which is why I have to show her sparingly lol! No one will want to see the miniatures anymore😄 I am glad to know I was not the only one who had issues with that glaze. I guess I will let things sit longer if I use it again! Thank you JD!
