The pattern instructions tell you what pages to print for what length cardigan. Use the layers to only print your size. Makes it quicker and easier.

Great video. I’m planning on making this next but I was worried as I’m a confident beginner. However I think I can tackle this and finally my first buttonholes!! Luckily my machine has an automatic buttonhole foot 😁

You can do it. It's a straight forward make. I live my button hole foot. Do a few practice ones before the real thing, nightmare to unpick

Thank you so much for your video. I have made the pattern too and really love it. I actually sewed the buttons onto the placket as I figured I wouldn't want to undo the buttons if that makes sense lol!

You are most welcome. That is a great idea. Specially as I never undo it to put the cardi on and off 🤣🤣🤣

The cardi looks lovely and the sew along was really useful! I’ve bought the pattern ( I’ve had it printed - the thought of sticking that pdf together.....😱😱😱😱😱!) but not made it yet.I want to use some of the fabrics in my stash, I’ve got some cable knit and boucle that both would be good also some quilted jersey and a waffle knit - decisions, decisions!I am coming down in favour of the jersey now we are moving into Spring, I think 😁👍

The PDF was not fun to stick together but after that, the cardigan itself was really quick to sew up. Wow, sounds like you have alot of options. You will have to let me know what you settled on

I have some of that cable knit in my stash and I've been a bit stuck on what to do with it. Your cardi is lovely!

Did you go for the true bias button method or your normal way in the end?
@SewingStash2 жыл бұрын
I think I went for the easy option (normal way) but want to give their method ago when I make it again
@claireabelle48212 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the sewalong. Can I ask what foot you used for your topstitching? ☺️
@SewingStash2 жыл бұрын
I'm just using a normal foot so I can see clearly. My fabric was feeding through fine so I didn't feel I needed to change the foot 🙂

Where can I buy this gorgeous fabric?
@SewingStash3 жыл бұрын
I believe I left a link to it in the description. Higgs and higgs and minerva.com both sell it 🙂

You will find that its much easier if you use glue to put it together then you can iron it flat
@SewingStash3 жыл бұрын
I did think about that but I was worried about getting glue residue on my iron
