Yes to the forest green Marlow 🙌🙌 and to the perseverance 💪👏I have the cropped Marlow in a light weight knit which I wear pretty much all year round and a winter one made with a heavy sweatshirting fabric that wore my overlocker blades out and I gave up on the button holes 3 needles in… 🙇♀️ I might put a couple of chunky press studs on it as I do like it fastened when it’s proppa chilly. It was a pain to make but it is a great cardigan

Thank you so much! ❤️ i would definitely vote press studs for maximum comfort in the cold!

Just found your channel in a search for Marlo, as I bought the pattern and some fabric at the Knitting & Stitching show last week (spooky coincidence with your fabric story). Thanks for this, the tips will be handy as it’s my first attempt at a cardi. I had no idea it was a US pattern so bought the 14-30 (wanted a UK 18!) and am hoping the 14 will be good and not too huge.

I hope you love your Marlo and thank you so much for watching ❤️

Very nice. I was thinking that it looks like a perfect working from home length - just long enough to keep your core really warm - but I can see also how it could look nice in a work context. I might be tempted to stick to less bulky fabrics...

I'm about to start a Marlow so brilliant timing with your helpful hints particularly about the buttonholes. Somehow I've actually ordered slightly under what's required. I didn't have the pattern so had looked at the fabric requirements on the Internet and when the pattern arrived with the fabric I saw it requires more. Everything crossed I can squeeze it out. Pockets will definitely be sacrificed and maybe the front bottom band???

I'm glad I could help! Yes the pattern fabric allowances aren't brilliant but I've never needed as much as it says on the envelope if that's helpful! I would say you definitely need the bottom band though 😅

Hopefully I can squeeze it out of what I have

Press 😂 you’ll be lucky if I do that 😂 Love your Marlo, I’ve a least 2 fisherman knit fabrics … definitely marlo! What it’s with overlockers at the moment? I feel mine needs it’s blade changed too but also I think it’s desperately needing a service 😂

Haha I know, I surprised myself with that one 😂 Thank you! I'm off to watch your vlog now, but LOVE the photos I've seen on instagram 😍

You are not an idiot! Great sew. Slightly out of sync vlog which gives it a strange feeling, but the content, opinion and recommendation are great, thank you. (And the ‘under arm of the machine’ is the throat space I think?)
