I'm curious, why do you put the plaster mold into the vacuum chamber when getting ready to pour? I've seen you do it each time, but can't think of why.

It helps pull the metal down and into all the small cracks 👍🏻

Nice seeing that your still learning me 2 thanks to you guys. Vacuum chambers are not easy to make ! Torr gauges are expensive!!

I've watched this several times. Who would have ever thought you could achieve that much detail in such a tiny amount of brass. The amber is the icing on the cake!

ADAM THAT MOSQUITO TURNED OUT PHENOMENAL I did not think that was going to work cuz of the legs being so thin everything else yes but the legs I thought 4 sure they were going to be shorter then the rest lol BUT NOPE I WAS WRONG. If you did nothing but cast that bronze mosquito it would have been an awesome melt and video. I was watching you pick up that Dowel Rod and going I hope he has a wood lathe, but nope you spent no telling how much time you spent making that cane ! it turned out great.

Beautiful job! Is the plaster porous enough that the vacuum helps pull the metal into fine details? That surprises me, if that’s the case.

I mainly use alphasense castable resin as I have found it to be fantastic and cheaper than every other. The settings you would need to tweak to your printer as each one is different
