@@__-my3qz Well, not really, as there is still the auto-generate button which builds a general template with the fitting name, so 1940 Medium USA tanks have the Sherman as generic template and name, and the 1934 light tanks from N-Z still have the Bob Semple as base template. If anything, you can build the Bob Semple with even more glorious innovations, like cannons instead of machine guns.

It's been a few patches ago, but I used to just rush subs with NZ and destroy the IJN transports causing their efforts to fail utterly (0 transports). Pretty much all of my manpower went into manning subs. I retired a few older models towards the end to build a couple divisions of marines to grab ports in mainland japan and even got a solo capitulation once.
