Making the Most of the Micro (3): Strings and Things

Episode 3 (Of 10). Broadcasted in BBC-2, 24 January 1983
Making the Most of the Micro was a TV series broadcast in 1983 as part of the BBC's Computer Literacy Project. It followed the earlier series The Computer Programme. Unlike its predecessor, Making the Most of the Micro delved somewhat deeper into the technicalities and uses that microcomputers could be put to, once again mainly using the BBC Micro in the studio for demonstration purposes. The series was followed by Micro Live.

Yeahbackthen when graphics were rarely seen on computers, but it's mind blowing that even at the time they had already text scanners.

I wish I was that clever with computers in my late school years, trouble is in the late 70s and 80s you could only get near anything resembling a computer if you had A levels and were a complete dweeb. . Nowadays an 8 year old have that sort of self taught technology. And yes I'm pretty sore about it 😩
