The final season of Star Trek Picard introduced fans to a new USS Enterprise NCC-1701-G, and we learn the history of this Constitution III class vessel from its co-designer Bill Krause! At this year's WonderFest scale modeling convention, Bill (aka AdmiralBuck) exhibits two of his original starship builds: the USS Excalibur and new USS Enterprise. We learn about his design and build process and get up close to the details of the Federation's latest flagship!

God, I'm just in awe. The lights especially sell it so well as being real -- just an incredible job with the lighting. Of course the actual models themselves are fantastic as well, but the lights are just that final thing that brings it to life. Usually, I'll look at a model and be disappointed at how fake it looks compared to when it's onscreen -- no such issues here at all. Incredible.
