I think a Tele gets better with every ding and dent she acquires....I love this one. Classic colour combos.

A beautiful instrument Chris. It sounds great both clean and dirty. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with your playing ability!

You probably forgot to account for the pick guard! That's a common mistake but you're good and that's an easy fix! It looks and sounds really great!

I really appreciate it Todd! Your videos played a big part in inspiring me and motivating me, so many thanks to you, man! I did not consider the pick guard. I did look at a friends Fender Tele and noticed his side dots were partially covered by the pickguard where mine are around 1-2mm above it.

It looks and sounds good Chris. My biggest challenge is ending up with a defect free top.
@CMRWoodworks3 ай бұрын
It’s a lot harder to do than you’d think, right? I am unsuccessful so far. Somogyi keeps his acoustic tops covered with posterboard. I really need to consider doing that.

@@CMRWoodworks I remember you mentioning that. I think I need to try that myself.

Great results Chris! The neck should be at 1" at the top of the radius. And the pocket should be at 5/8" deep. Been that way since 1950. I'm not sure what's Todd is thinking about the pick guard. That could be problem if your neck has an extra fret with a fretboard extension which would kick the heel up. But that could also crack the fretboard off the neck. Looks like you only have 21 frets.

I knew I had ended up at the right dimensions. It might feel like the saddle is way high because it’s the first electric one I ever adjusted in my life! I have no reference point. I need to do more research, I guess. I appreciate the comment!

Regarding the solder, not sure what you used but I find the leaded stuff flows much better than the lead free. I use 60/40 leaded and do everything with a cheap old 30 watt iron. Guitars sounds and looks good bud, looking forward to the next one. Cheers

I’m not actually sure what kind I have. It came with the soldering iron. Only spent like 25 bucks on it. I need to do more research, I guess. I really appreciate all the views and comments, man. Thanks a lot!

@@CMRWoodworks yeh it'll most likely be the solder then, they usually bundle terrible stuff with the iron lol
