To hear of how Darryl chose his name as a member of Manchester's Irish community is very wholesome. Especially since my grandad was an Irish immigrant who arrived in Manchester in the mid 1940s. He died of a massive stroke in 1972 at only 46. My dad was only 4 years old at the time.
