This ring looks amazing, but what I think that will make it incredibly astonishing is of you try to fill gaps with glow powder like the original super conductor. Great Job with some phenomenal skills.

Could this be ca sealed so the copper wouldn't tarnish.? I think it would be cool to either ca with glow powder in the cracks, or maybe try a process similar to stabilizing wood on it with clear epoxy so that it would fill the cracks but you could still see through to the copper layer.

Quick question, I noticed that when drilling the hole for the ring, a rig is used that spins the superconductor button itself instead of the drill bit. Is this because it creates a better finish than a moving drill bit? Or is it simply just the equipment available?

It does a little, but it is really easy to clean, and generally will only oxidize on the side that touches your finger, so some people don't even bother too at all.

A fantastic 3.0 version of this ring would be to go in the opposite direction, and see if you could find a superconductor with less filaments than he first one. Maybe you could make them straight and segmented.

I'm not sure how it conducts, but super conductivity revolves around it being super cooled (like covered with freezing helium)

Also an electrician. Typically we take off any metal when working on anything potentially energized and anything loose around rotating machinery. But I gotta say, this ring seems like the perfect way to flaunt being a sparky boy.
