I have the Invidia N1 Catback exhaust and with Tomie ULE Headers. So I'm defiantly cutting off my resonator on my 2020 Subaru WRX. So that I can get more sound out. And the best part is that I have the Tomie ULE Headers. So that means I'll get more rumble sound out of it.

Quick question! So I have a stage 2 tune with a Jpipe and the r400 exahust and mine usually pops only between 3-4 gear. If I get my resonator delete would it pop louder or would it pop whenever?

so the reason why I pop so much is because I have a specific tune that allows me to pop alot. cutting the resonator could change the tone of your pops, but it probably wont make your car pop more than it already does

I just bought a 2017 wrx 56k Miles never had mods on it but is this exhuast system worth it, I kinda wanna run just a cat back and leave the cats on but will I still need to get a tune if i do the cat back? And does it pop loud loll but if u recommend anything else I should do that’ll make it fun and sound nice that’d be great

this exhaust is pretty good! it has the cleanest sound in my opinion, and it definitely pops (as long as you shift hard). You dont need a tune for cat backs. this exhaust is a little quiet though with the stock j-pipe

there’s not really any upsides or downsides when removing the resonator. it’s mainly for sound 👍🏼

I actually like the deeper tone with the resonator better. I’m sure it sounds different in person tho.

It most definitely sounds different in person, I just prefer my exhausts to be more louder, especially with that turbo whistle

So with the R400 stock you don’t get any turbo whistle at all, with the resonator delete, did you start getting turbo whistle? The muffler delete with stock mid pipe gets heaps of whistle.

yeah! after deleting the resonator you're able to hear the turbo whistle outside the cabin way more than with it on. with the r400, the turbo whistle as well as the exhaust sound are balanced so one doesn't overpower the other they compliment eachother very nicely with this setup

Hey man trading my q300 for an r400. Do I just have to swap axelback or full catbacks? Is the midpipe the same on both?

@@BigMike48 if it’s not too late, it’s the same exact thing. I know because I traded my q3000 for a r400 as well… tbh in my opinion, it’s not that much of a difference. I’m also running an Invidia catted dp, I want to go catless but don’t want to deal with boost creep

@@jamescedillo4356 hmmm. I traded them. Difference is huge imo when catless. Catless is sick bro, you only boost creep bad in the cold. Get a good tune and ur fine.

I found that the sound was a tiny bit louder but way more defined. For my taste i thought the exhaust was too quiet but it was the best sounding by far. I recently upgraded to a tomei! video coming soon 👀

@@JaydonWong ah I see. Do you think the size of the mufflers affects my ability to shoot flames?

@@BigMike48 mufflers are a small part of being able to shoot flames, it’s mainly the tuning aspect that gives you the ability to shoot flames. mufflers however could cause you to not see your flames well, in comparison to a fully straight car with headers, etc

@@BigMike48 the drone is pretty much the same, i personally like the drone the r400. currently im now running a tomei exhaust on the wrx, and the drone is super quiet in comparison to the r400 (but i personally prefer a dronier car just cause 🤣)

nah this doesn't require a tune. i did this because i didn't get the hi-flow, so i just cut it off.

@@mvp2000pj of course man! make sure you pair the exhaust with a aftermarket j-pipe so it really opens up that clean sound. i'll make a video soon about how much louder a j-pipe makes your car, i got ya
