I'm sure it was extremely difficult to make this, but I want you to know how much it affected me. Your music and especially your words have been a lifeline for me at some of the darkest times of my life. I continue to hold on and try to rise above it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.❤

I lost my husband to su!cide. More importantly, our children lost their father to su!cide. This song shows how self-destruction affects everyone, not just the actor. Thank you for this powerful song and message.

I was lucky enough to go to the Rise Above Fest at Bangor Waterfront in 2017. Put on by Shawn and the guys. Part of the proceeds went to s*iside Awareness and Prevention. I answered the phone in February 2011 and the person on the end was from a funeral home my family uses in Maine. The man said I'm afraid i have bad news about your father (step-father). Because my Mom and me sound alike i thought he was talking about my grandfather, who was buried by this FH. When questioned, the man clarified my step-fathers name. He had committed s*iside. This song, and that festival, I hold close to my heart. ❤
