Making / Throwing a ceramic clay pottery Apple on the wheel

Throwing an Pottery Apple on the wheel.
How I tried to make a pottery Apple shaped pot.
Possibly you could put a slot in the side and make it into a money box.
Just another enclosed pot with a stalk on the top really, no special techniques.
I know it's not exact but it gives the impression of an Apple.

I find that you need to leave more clay than you think above where you close it in, and don't make it too thin as it can go wobbly. That's what I do. Cheers, Dan.

Would cut the top full circle to turn it into a lid? I have seen lids being created by completely closing the top, using tool similar to a flat screwdriver to create an indentation then cutting it. If possible, I would like to see how would you pursue it. As always, it's a treat to watch you. K
