of course. my first one was made of pvc. but it was a bit heavy so i used bamboo on this video. :)

Where do you suggest getting the bamboo

i wish i had bamboo growing near by, but, that's not the case so i go to home depot or local gardening stores to find them. :)

what was the diameter ? will 1/2 in pvc work ok ???

1/2 pvc may work but that's depends on the arrow you use. make sure you take safety measure before you use/make this device. there are different designs as well. look up this device in Turkish archery. in my opinion, if you take a look at Turkish Majra, design of that seems safer than what i made.

What's the diameter of bamboo ?

not sure. it's a bamboo you can find in hardware stores. if i have to guess, maybe around half of an inch??

Actually this device can also be seen in ancient China and Japan. I also made it from a broken broom🧹 that made of bamboo.
