Plus a kiln opening and some close ups of the new studio cat.

You know Vaughn, most of us would love to hear your "noisy" wheel, the clicking of the kiln and all other studio sounds. We would love to hear your comments while throwing. Don't let those narcissists ruin it for all. Let them mute while the wheel is annoying them. Love your work and now, your cat. 🐈⬛

I really like the individual pots! I keep imagining French onion soup in it or a stew and think they'd be perfect. I'm glad you explored the wider pot style. Thank you for sharing your craft!

Love the pots. Kitty has made himself right at home. He knows a “cat” person when he sees one!

Love the cooking pots, I have bee wanting to work with some earthen ware. Your sweet stray kitty could be a twin to my 14 yr old studio cat, Amish Kitty:)

Thank you for your care of the wonderful cat. We had a kitty show up in Dec. Before the polar vortex we named her Ribbons. Your work is beautiful.

Such lovely pots! I've wanted to do earthenware but am afraid it would get mixed up with my cone 6 clay since my studio is so tiny. I have to confess, I kept watching the cat -- totally adorable, and I am so impressed that you are looking out for your foundling. I bet he'd love to be a studio cat -- hoping you find him a good home or (more hopefully) you keep him!

This is a great look and interesting cooking style! I watched the video you linked, such a beautiful garden and yard. The sinks are wonderful too. What about the cat - is he with you or did he go to your friends?

Hi Susan, he is still here, he will be hard to give up since he bonded with me but the glaze chemicals make me wary about keeping him. He lays down right next to me while I am glazing. If he was a rough older cat I would be less worried but he is around a year old. My old cat Strider got mouth Cancer and I always feel it was licking his paws after walking around in my glazing area. Feb 4th is the day.😮💨

@@Vsmithpots well, you saved him from the harsh world of outdoor rough living, and having him in a safe environment is so important. Hope you can visit him for some cat therapy!

Very nice sturdy stew, pots and beautiful to boot! I can’t believe how much clay you can center and throw with those sinks wow. It looks to me like you may have a strong arm attachment on your wheel. I got one of those, but I don’t use it very often. The cat absolutely loves you and it’s so adorable. Thanks for sharing. I’m already imagining what kind of stew you’re gonna cook in those pots. You’ll have to let us know how the stew and the pots were received by your guests. You’re the best.

My wheel squeaks like that also, especially in the winter; I've found belt dressing helps, or even putting a space heater under the wheel for a few minutes.

For those people that don't enjoy the loud noises that your wheel makes there's a mute button and closed caption. I personally like hearing your commentary while you're making the pots and the sound of your wheel. I pay closer attention to what you're doing while you're speaking with the music I tend to wander off.
