Here's a tip: You can also leave lemon skin beforehand on your radiator or whatever heater you use, it will last longer but the flavor will remain almost intact, plus your home will smell nice. The only downside, of course, is being limited to cold days/seasons only.

Got around to seeing this one and excited, not just about having a new wing option to make for our hunting camp, but for the homemade lemon pepper seasoning to use on all sorts of things! Just a heads up for anyone making the seasoning according to the recipe… lemons here are $1ea (during summer, down south bordering FL where lemons are local even) and the amount of ground zest 8 lemons (I had one already before buying the other 7) yielded about 2.5 tablespoons. Doing the math, that’s 8 bucks just for the zest alone. 😳

So I don't think we have Wingstop here in England (not sure, I rarely eat fast food) but this recipe is almost identical to one of my favourites. Only differences are that I use drumsticks not wings, I use more garlic and I soak my chicken in lemon juice over night to marinate before cooking in the lemon pepper butter. I have made them for parties and seen guests fighting over the last one more than a couple of times. Total winner.

If you do another wing chain, I suggest you tackle my favorite chain sauce of all time. Zaxby’s “Hot Honey Mustard”. The Wing Stop in our town apparently isn’t good. Buffalo Wild Wings, though? Yes, always.

Other way around where I live, bww used to be good but the last few years the wings are always dry and just all around not good. Wingstop Is always great though

Buffalo Wild Wings has never been as good as Wingstop in my humble opinion but what do I know…?

it’s the other way where i’m at. the b dubs wings here are flavorless small and dry. but the wingstop ones are hot (like fresh from the fryer), they’re huge, juicy, crispy, and have a lots of sauce/seasoning. it’s like they actually put effort into their wings.

It’s funny how it’s the opposite for many. It may be because the wing stop here is less than a mile from the Buffalo Wild Wings and opened last year, whereas our b dubs has been around for almost a decade? B dubs here just keeps adding flavors and their wings are always super fresh.

I work at wingstop, and I was ready to be like oh hes gonna say it sucks like everything else. (which i know IS NOT TRUE, at least for my location) but wingstop is a corporation AND franchise so the experience from store to store can vary wildly unfortunately. glad to see something ive actually been putting my time into religiously being praised by a person I admire so much 😁

As a halal eating Muslim living in America. This series educates me about the popular foods in the restaurants I see so much around me but never go to and I feel more cultured and aware about my fellow Americans food choices lol.

I use Mrs.Dash Lemon Pepper seasoning, it's the best tasting and strongest I could find. I use butter, Lemon Concentrate & Olive Oil.

Just in case anyone wants to know what the wingstop recipe is...it's just "butter" sauce (oil) and lemon pepper seasoning from a big container like you can get at the store. That's literally it. Also, mild is just original hot mixed half n half with that same "butter" sauce.

Josh, could you please consider doing a show on making Chicken Lentil Soup. Prefer sooner, but perhaps even for the next U.S. Winter

I grew up calling lemon pepper seasoning on buffalo wings 'lemon pepper wet'. We called this style lemon butter wings. Both delicious

Since my sister used to work at a Wingstop she usually brought home free food. I'd just eat the lemonpepper wings. I never really liked them because they always seemed bland to me. I was hungry on the road traveling through Alabama once and stopped at a gas station with a wing shop connected to it called WingStation. The service was a zero out of ten, but the wings were great. Their lemon pepper wings had 8 times more flavor and they were juicy. My orders from wingstop were usually dry in comparison. The wet lemon pepper wings you made today taste even better than those. Thank you.

I reckon a pinch of celery powder. It's used in the online KFC recipe (for flavor) so I think when you crumbing, seasoning, or battering for chickens that would be the way to go. but this is Josh's recipe so I digress
