I want to try and make this soap with my kids. These bars are just so gorgeous. Could you advise on how much essential oil you used? I really have some troubles figuring out how much oil I should get. Greetings from Switzerland!

Hi, Do you mind to share with me the recipe for making the Christmas tree?
@trishdixon56233 жыл бұрын
Hello and Thank you for sharing. We love all of your beautiful soaps, so natural and inspiring. Hope you don’t mind me asking, do you chop your soaps as the colours are amazing. Can’t wait for your next video Trish and Colin x
@TheSussexHandmadeSoapCompany3 жыл бұрын
Hi Trish and Colin :-) do you mean Cpop rather than "chop"? If so then I used to, but now I put them into a heated propagator as it helps them to gel and makes the colours pop just like my oven used to but the bonus is that my oven no longer needs airing before dinner can be made!
@trishdixon56233 жыл бұрын
@@TheSussexHandmadeSoapCompany Thank you. We tried the oven but as you say it does retain the beautiful fragrance for awhile. We now have plans to make a box for our propagator x

Thank you so much Amanda. I am so sorry you missed out on getting one - we totally underestimated how popular they would be, we sold out in less than 5 hours of them going live on our site. We will definitely be upping the quantity next year! xx

@@TheSussexHandmadeSoapCompany I'm glad you are doing so well, I really don't like these big corporations, I always try to use family businesses where I can x

Thank you Amanda :-) I do the same! Always prefer purchasing from small businesses, you can get so many unique gifts from smaller places :-) x

These are amazing! Did the spirulina soap go through gel phase to get that lovely color? Or did you just use quite a lot of spirulina? I’ve just started soap making as a hobby, and am only using natural colorants because my skin is super sensitive and hates most colors and fragrances in commercial cosmetics. I’d love to get that same rich green.
@TheSussexHandmadeSoapCompany4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did ensure the Spirulina soap went through gel phase to darken the colour. I also mixed in some green clay and Nettle powder too just for added green! It will fade over time as many natural colourants do but to try and keep the colour as bold for as long as possible I cured the bars in a dark place as this helped the color to stay as green as possible while it cured.
