Making working Monorails with Create Steam n Rails!

I feel like we need a Create modpack that spreads out resources really far, but clusters them up. Similar to TFC, but even further apart, just with an easier way of finding them. I never have a *reason* to build cool trains like this. Doing stuff just for the sake of doing it used to be fun back in the day, but I get less time to game nowadays, so I like to do things that actually feel like achievements.

I saw a modpack a bit ago called Yet Another Whistle Stop. It's based around logistics like you described, but it's in 1.12 so it uses some older train mods. Well, a newer pack that has big ore veins is Multiblock Madness 2, but it's pretty unfinished and I don't know if the veins are big or spread enough to make locomotion worth it... either way, maybe take a look

Maybe get rid of infinite ore recipes like iron and gold. Also there is a create addon called create excavation drill mod. This addon has infinite ore deposits that you can mine up with the drills, so maybe there could be a mod pack that has it so that is the only way to get late game recourses or something like that.

Theres a mod, Create Molten Geodes, which helps with this. Basically adds a source of infinite crushable minerals but theyre scattered aroudn the world and unmovable

One thing to note: Unlike campfires, the decorative smokestacks will output more smoke the faster you go. So if you're idling, a few particles come out every couple seconds. If you're going full throttle, the smoke looks like a solid line.

Woah, I didn't know you could make monorails upside-down! That's awesome! Also from what I've heard, the Steam n Rails devs are planning on adding full compatibility with Landlord (the system that Create Aeronautics, Offroad Expansion, Liftoff, etc. are going to use) so that you can build on and fully interact with trains as they are moving, which I am super hyped for.

@@thetafritz9868 I mean this has been a thing for a long while now with many forge mods having written compatibility with tinkers construct for example, or Forge's power system(s) having compatibility with many intertwining systems that eventually got sucked into the modding api altogether. It is great to see create make a big system that allows these other mods to work though

A mod pack idea that would be PERFECT for all that (I got it from another YT comment section, not sure who said it): You live on a train, and have to keep it running or you’ll die from (an ice age? Wither Storm? Undead hoard? Something big and unkillable), but have to occasionally stop for resources or repairs or whatever. Add cars for storage, farming, power, even defense if there’s monsters. Gotta balance weight with power so you can keep your speed up so the thing you’re running from doesn’t catch up. Chunk loading might be an issue after a while, especially for older PCs, though. But if that can be worked around, this would be an awesome modpack.

The Semaphor supports also fences AND you can also have the signal block above them, which is useful if you want some hanging signals

The reason the coupler connected them weirdly is that you did it the wrong way around, basically you're meant to have it on the bacl bogey of the front train, then extend it to the front bogey of the back train.

There is a feature you forgot. You can automatically assemble and disassemble trains by deploying them with a wrench. (You need to add the wrench per chute into the deployer)

If you build the train on top of the monorail tracks, you can have it switch between monorail tracks and regular tracks. I suggest building it on the regular track, as it will look better.

The different rails should do what the 0.5.1 update to create did with water wheels. so you don't have multiple rail types in your storages, and can change out the look whenever.

I'd like to recommend that you check out the mod called framed blocks and another mod called Jade which allows you to see the block that you're looking at and adds a new UI section. Both work great with create

the coupler is supposed to go on the back bogey of the front cart and then you scroll on top of the coupler till the other thing on the rail is underneath the back front bogey Edit: I wrote this when he said that it crashes his game. (this works to ^)

I adore this mod so much because of all the roller coasters I can make with it I wonder if anyone has thought about making a specific theme park addon for create (i would cry if someone makes this because I really want loops for my coasters and different coloured monorail tracks)

O WOW!. Not good. Lost my world. Corrupted. When I tried to place the monorail car. Luckily I had made a backup. Which I do every time I add a new mod. :/ Don't know why. Hope that gets fixed. Had to remove this mod. Sad now. Looks like a great mod.
