Making your own Home Cable TV System using a UHF Modulator
Showing my private home cable TV system, which has both digital and analog TV channels. Equipment includes a Betamax, VHS/DVD, and a media player. All are run into a UHF modulator which sends the video signals out as scannable TV channels on the UHF band. Combined with OTA ( over the air ) antenna channels through a diplexer and sent to all the TVs in my house through existing coaxial cable runs.
The ChannelVision CVT 3UB allows you to convert signals to coaxial cable to create analog TV channels for a private closed-circuit home cable system. Sort of like my own master antenna (MATV) system!

Oh I wondered what you meant by making ur cable tv system. But I get it basically turning other inputs into channels to access easier.

Some hotels/casinos/sports arenas/etc have their own in-house cable systems, well sort of. The local cable company supplies channels and the businesses would show some or all the channels, plus their own closed-circuit channels. A hotel would have an information channel or 2, plus a few in-house pay per view movie channels. A hotel with a casino in Vegas or somewhere might have a channel that teaches you how to play various casino games, one with a waiting list for poker, that kind of thing.A sports arena with tvs in their suites might have a channel you can see the jumbo tron on, one with stats of the game, etc. But of course on some of these systems, your closed-circuit channels are replacing the cable system's channels , so they have to figure out where they want to move that removed channel to. (if at all). Some systems would have limited "real" channels. A local horse race track has like 8-12 channels with various horse racing tracks on them, and some local and sports channels (ESPN, NFL network, etc) sprinkled in. I was always fascinated with these types setups, and you basically have your own. Thank you for sharing!

in my house we have 6 tvs and only 2 have satellite receivers so i have one of those cheep channel 3 modulators sending out the living room box and i have a channel plus modulation 2 vhf channels one is the master bedroom box the other is a music channel that plays my mp3 collection on shuffle this works great as only 2 of the other tvs are new enough to have digital tuners so only 2 can pickup broadcast tv . I do plan on adding more channels at some point

when it comes to diplexer is there a specific kind I should avoid? I'm looking to connect 2 or 3 mixture of Blonder Modulators and Channel Visions. Most of the diplexers I see online are for Antenna & SAT bridging. Not sure if 2 or more modulators & multiple diplexers can go into those or not.

You might want to get a powered splitter, unpowered introduces loss and makes the signal weaker each time it splits
