Was really interesting to see the process for the TF2 workshop, it's fairly similar to gmod, like I also use substance painter and blender for my addons, but I had no idea about the publishing method for tf2, that was actually built into the game. Very cool and I would totally love to see more. Also, I think that issue with some things being transparent that were not supposed to, could use a $noclull fix.

I think a cosmetic that would be cool is something based on the psycho's masks from the Borderlands series. I've seen weapons mods in the past for the pyro to have a psycho buzzaxe as a weapon and it would be cool to see a cosmetic mask to match.

A [BIG SHOT] hairdo would be cool for scout along with a salesman suit and the scammers speckles for the glasses, a potential weapon could be a scatter gun designed like spamton neos gun and fires one shot that dies 23 damage with a .5 second cooldown but decreases Defence by .2%

Killers kit Esq bottom cosmetic for pyro. Maybe something with the same theme for his top half as well. I mean pyros got all the wacky goofy cosmetics now but no like serious ones like military-styled body or pants cosmetics.

Just a heads up, the poly limits and texture size limits have increased since the origional guidelines were released. It's 1400 for lod1 now (then 1k, then 700). Textures are also 512 now. Good luck with your item making journey!

You are also able to use 2x 512 textures. So ultimatly you have 512x1024 to play with.

my idea - the fortress flatbrim a black flatbrim hat with the team fortress logo in the middle of the hat. the tf logo can be painted and it will be for the scout, heavy, sniper, and spy. the color underneath of the brim can be painted as well. i think that its a simple idea, but in my head it looks sick (especially on the scout, and especially with some unusual effects)

When I saw a lot of the pet cosmetics I thought they wear cool but I think it would be to have a pet that actually follows you around. I was thinking something like engis pug or spy’s crab since there small enough to not be in your face while fighting. Though to make this it would be very hard because it would take a lot more animation and code to make sure it doesn’t clip through walls and make any bugs but it was always a cool item I think would be nice to have make it feel more like a pet then just another peace of clothing

For some reason I've always felt bugged by the lack of an Adrian Helmet cosmetic in TF2. There's the Proof of Purchase, the stahlhelm variations, german field caps, the communist cap, a vietnam M1, the standard soldier's M1, but no Adrian helm.

I think it would be wonderful to create some Metal Gear Rising inspired accesories. Examples: a multiclass Monsoon helmet, Sundowner's headgear and body armor for Heavy, a buffed nanomachined body and head for Medic, Raiden's headgear, hair, jaw and an eyepatch for Scout and Demo, Jetstream Sam's headgear, hair and a cybernetic arm for Soldier and Mistral's neck gear for Engie (w/ detachable Gunslingers instead of dwarf-geccos arms). It would be wonderful if you would create at least something of theese

TF2 Cosmetic Set Ideas: "Smart-Aleck Architect" (Cosmetic for the Engineer, similar to Damon Baird's face from Gears of War 4. His goggles are now over his head instead of his eyes, and he now sports a blond beard. Styles include painting goggles, painting beard and painting both) "Destroyer's Doo Rag" (Cosmetic for the Soldier. Gives him a grey doo-rag that covers the top of his head, alongside a small beard. Style 1 covers the eyes, style 2 has it lifted above the eyes. Can be painted, paint affects the doo-rag.) "The Ethanol Coal Train" (Cosmetic for the Demoman. Gives him a buzzcut instead of his beanie, and a chin strap. Cannot be painted) "COGs of Battle" (Cosmetic for all classes. Gives them a Gears of war-esque helmet, simple as that. Can be painted. Styles change whether the paints affects the helmet, the eyes or both)

Hi! I have a friend on steam who models tf2 items that I've suggested this to, but I'm not so sure that's been on their priority list. So, my idea is a hat (maybe a beanie?) that has animated (which I'm not sure is possible) neon-esc equalizer bars that wrap around the hat. Of course, you'll be able to paint it but it would still keep a neon effect. That's the basics of my idea, but I thought I'd share. I hope to one day get into modeling tf2 items myself, but for now all I can do is share my ideas to those who are already capable.

I have absolutely no fashions sense, but... Well- I once had the idea of- you know the voo-doo skins that are in the game currently? I was thinking something like that, but instead putting it on makes the players resemble (somewhat at least) mvm bots. And I do think it would be possible for both teams, because I heard in a video somewhere that there *are* files in the game for red team mvm bots- if that helps at all or seemed like an obstacle.

Someone might have pointed this out already but your info is outdated. 1400, 1000 and 700 tri for the lod models. Up to 2 512x512 textures on items. Up to 5 jiggle bones as well if you wanna get fancy. There is some cool crap you can kinda hack in with proxies but that gets complicated.

Well, their are hats with the name Brim at the end, like Nightbane Brim for Demoman, and Headhunter's Brim for Sniper. Their is also this idea for the spy to have a hat called the Blood-Soaked Brim. So that leaves Scout, Solider, Pyro, Engineer, Heavy, and Medic. Now, don't say that the Pyro has a Brim hat because first, the word "Brim" in the hat that is for the pyro is at the beginning of the name and not the end ( The Brim of Fire ), and secondly, it's a cowboy hat, not a Top Hat, Bowler Hat, or Capotain Hat. Now, If the Scout, Solider, Pyro, Engineer, Heavy, and Medic are to have Brim hats, here are some rules: 1. The word "Brim" must come at the end of the Name 2. It must be a Top Hat, Bowler Hat, Capotain Hat, or any Wide Brimed Flat or Roud Crowned Hat, and the crown can be as tall or as short as needed 3. It must be Eunique to the particular class it's going to There, I gave some Lines. Now, I have an Idea for one of these hats. The Batter’s Brim, a Tall Stove Pipe hat for the Scout. A very tall top hat with a baseball bat strapped to the side of the hat by two Hat Bands.
