There are also many nature hikes in San Miguel and visit Madlum River and gorge. Also go to the historic Biak na Bato National Park and do the caving tour. This cave was used by Filipinos to hide during the Japanese occupation. I had the chance of going into the cave, very adventurous. Always be with a guide and have hard hats on with lights.

Mike -- when he says "San Miguel" -- means San Miguel, Bulacan, which is about 103 kms road distance from Manila. Mike does not know that there are many places named "San Miguel" in the Philippines. Like in Tarlac, Albay, Cebu, etc. -- more than 10 municipalities, including a San Miguel District in Manila, where the presidential residence (Malacanan Palace) is located.

I have a trip recommendation for you guys. It's a hidden gem on the foothills of Mt Makiling in Laguna. It's a private resort but open to the public even for a day visit. Setting is natural tropical jungle with cascading natural hot springs with several pools made of lava rocks, some with soda water, hot, cold and warm springs. Lunch is included. We've been coming here since we were kids. Check it out, guaranteed relaxing, nature tripping time. Google it, Hidden Valley Springs resort.
