Nice content. But I think you need to calibrate the camera with lightburn, the slight tilt you have in the preview is also clearly to be seen in the business card engraving. It's either not done on delivery by Genmitsu or has been misaligned in shipping....

yeah, my manual says you need to do that and it worked fine once done.

Air Assist doesn’t seem to do a good job compared to WeCreat (Video 12:57). I wonder if the laser is so damn close to the board air assist doesn’t have enough air flow to circulate around the area. Cut may be good but the burn marks not so.

No, my bad on the measurements. The plywood is 5mm which is closer to 1/4 inch than 1/8.

I can't imagine a tilt sensor ever being needed... The money spent on that would have been better spent putting a chinsey USB hub inside so that it only needed one USB connection imo. There's some good ideas there, but some things are just terrible. I mean air and DC in on the FRONT panel?! Still seems a bit like the other cheap ones to be honest, but glad you scored it free and hope you build some neat things with it :)

My 80w Monport has been down (broken) more than it's up. It's a large, expensive paper weight at this point. Currently waiting for tech support to send me a new power supply after already replacing a broken tube and tube mount. I'm really trying to like it but owning it for 2 months and only cutting 6 sheets of material on it isn't a good track record. If they can get their crap together and get my machine running for longer than half a day, I'll change my tune. It's been a rough start so far!

OK, what do you think would be a fair 'Budget Friendly' price for an enclosed, 20W laser? Now be careful, your answer will tell everyone how much you do or rather don't know about the tech and parts that make up just the laser module alone. This technology doesn't have very much markup.

Yes I'm reminded of bidenomics every time I go to the grocery store, eat out at a restaurant or fill the tank on my diesel truck or tractor. But my TV tells me that the economy is great, so it must be true!
