Great 12vt tools..i have all of these shown..but mine are not brushless..but work very well for what they're intended for. The reciprocating saw. Has two small screws holding the blade attachment part on..the small screws will come lose..an will sheer off..i took two 6/32 screws an drove them in to cross thread in till it broke the head off. I put a little super glue on each side just as a little extra..have had zero problems since.

Great review dude, iv got a few of the makita 10.8v tools which work really well, and of course your reviews are tons more pro than my makita reviews, well done sir.

Hello! First of all, I love love love your channel! As an artist who lives in an NYC apartment and dreams of power tools I will probably never get to own, your reviews and demos are a fantastic way to live vicariously! I'm not sure if you ever give advice via KZbin comments, but I think you may be able to advise me if you've got a moment. I've decided that a cordless circular saw could actually fit very well into my apartment-based lifestyle, and have been trying to figure out which one might be right for me: Milwaukee M12 Fuel, which seems like a pretty darn great tool, OR the super-compact Makita circular saw that I just became aware of when I watched this video. My main use for a circular saw will be cutting down sheets of 1/2" plywood and some 3/4" pine, as well as cutting the slats off of pallets. I will not need to do super high volume cutting, and will probably not need to cut 2x material; my main concerns are cut quality and ease of use. Any advice is most appreciated!

Back into construction and setting up Milwaukee platform (in both M12 and M18). Have been looking at the M12 Fuel drills and just slid around the display to Makita’s offerings? I just may use Makita for the smallest drill need because of being so extremely comfortable for my hands. (Power is good and thinking it would be a nimble little hardware and door beast.) Might have some teal mixed with the red in the drill bags.

I was playing around with their cxt line at HD the other day. Nice little tools, it was the 2 piece combo, brushed. They felt good and performed pretty decent for the price. #TIACREW

Can we modify the battery inputs adapter. ? For example:: - I only have Makita 18v battery ! But I have too many different brands ? Can we’re making adaptor from Makita to other brands ? Since they’re looking similar? Accep M12 and Rioby... Like the Dewalt makes the 18v to 20max., - If we are can build that ? It’s very helpful for us. ... So I have 1 brand of battery ! But I can use with any different brands even if they’re different voltage.. People can buy adaptor is way cheaper compared to battery. 😊

Rob, did your kit come with the 2.0 battery? I just got one from Home Depot last week after seeing your video and mine came with 1.5 battery.

I picked one up today,the combo kit 12v.The m18 fuel is a lot smaller and has way more power. It is heavier but more compact I just don't understand.. So if you want a compact and more power go with the m18.its not compact its just lighter.

Makita FD07Z is 6" long, there's no M18 fuel drill that is smaller.

Cam we change it with bigger volt and Ah battery? Would it create more strength?

Hey Rob, if you weren't looking to expand either line, which would you recommend, the 18v brushless subcompact drill or the 12v brushless?
@ConcordCarpenter7 жыл бұрын
subcompact

I'm surprised Makita switched to a 12v slide pack. I get that the grip is more ergonomic and generally preferred, but I prefer the fatter grip on my m12 tools. Personal taste of course, but what I like most about the 12v tools is the size. the battery is essentially part of the grip on the cylinder style 12v batteries and so you don't have the added bulk of a battery below the grip so you can fit it in the smallest of places. These Makitas do look really compact despite the slide pack which is great.

It does seem to be a tradeoff with the m12 lineup, in that they have the smaller batteries yet the length of the drills in particular isn't much shorter than DeWalt's compact 20v MAX brushless drills. I think Bosch's brushless 12v line is the best mix of compact batteries and compact tools.
@kickpublishing6 жыл бұрын
You can stand these up, the push in batteries mean you always have to lay your drill flat and they scuff up and look nasty quite fast in hard use - plus you have dust and water getting in there when they lay flat.
@ozrenbalic60515 жыл бұрын
@@greenskiis not sure what you're talking about. Makita FD07Z is only 6" long, Dewalt 20V max compact is 7.5". Bosch doesn't make a drill that is shorter, as far as I know. It does have battery in the handle, with all the pros and cons that come with it. I prefer more ergonomic grip of tools with slide-in batteries.

I use the older 12V Makita impact drivers for product assembly. I have over 30 of them for crew and we use them because they are the most compact and fit in tightest places. This new CXT hump design is terrible for us. I don't really see the appeal. If you got a hump battery might as well go 18V

I am not happy with this particular drill , it does not hold the drill bit thigh , I would be on top of my latter using it and the drill bit would come off.... every single time , extremely frustrating ... I did not have this problem with other brands . Keep away from this drill and be very happy.
