Repairing a Makita 1/2" router.

The price of Makita spare parts are very reasonably priced
Makita equipment is worth while repairing
I spent £25 for the router and £10 for brushes inc postage. That's a great price for a Makita router that usually retails at £200 +
This Makita router is now in my router table full time, a perfect setup for my work shop

I inherited one of these from my father, once he saw me getting into woodworking. A little 400 grit sandpaper to remove carbon buildup on the commutator and it was good to go. Glad to see others out there making memories with Makitas!

I used to sell those router tables. I have a few videos of the router table build. The Makita 1/2" router is an awesome bit of kit. Good luck with your purchase I have another video repair for the colet nut on the Makita router. You might find it helpful if you do a lot of Hardwood

Were the incorrect brushes used previously do you suppose? Never seen brushes jam like that.

Me neither. They were the correct brushes... Absolutely no idea how they got jambzd in there
