Big mash up of a lot of bits of footage we haven't used yet including the day Aron caught a big Mako Shark while fishing land based.

seen any panthers or tazzie tigers?. I was thinking about a release method for those smooth rocks, what do you recon about a slip 'n' slid setup? just slide the fish back into the water? probably be a pain in the ass getting something like that to the spots, im not sure, just thinking stuffffffffffff's

Lots of them would die, these guys are pretty dumb for some of the fish they release and target considering. The shark is pretty sad too, but then again fucking wester australians kill sharks like morons.

Its only one Shark haters, the coastlines here tow have a healthy stock of them, it's the commercial guys that plunder not a guy getting one fish of a lifetime, and why would they not keep it?, no one moans outside Grocery or fish Markets that kill everything imaginable, plus, off the rocks!!!
@DixonsFishing
@DixonsFishing 4 жыл бұрын
Certainly a catch of a life time and not likely to happen again. Wasn’t wasted so I don’t see the problem either.
@ptuinman8491
@ptuinman8491 4 жыл бұрын
Just because it's legal doesn't mean you should or that it's right... Mako shark stocks are rapidly declining worldwide. So will you be part of the problem or part of the solution?
@DixonsFishing
@DixonsFishing 4 жыл бұрын
This is the only mako we have landed and probably will be the only we will ever land off the rocks. Yes it would of been nice to release it but we chose to keep it and it wasn’t wasted that’s for sure.

Not sure why you guys need to kill the mako, a couple of photo's at waters edge and the video of the fight would have been enough no..?
@DixonsFishing
@DixonsFishing 5 жыл бұрын
its very very rare to see one land based and it was all eaten and given to friends and family. they aren't a rare shark just not common off the rocks and all legal to do so.
@joeschroder2876
@joeschroder2876 2 жыл бұрын
Terrible fish handling, all those fish you are smashing up on the rocks, then shoving your hands in there gills and throwing them back in just to die.Catch and release is pointless if you don’t do it correctly.

I was a big follower, but the mako action is fucked up mate. Where was the need of fucking killing it? And it's illegal to kill shark that big.
@DixonsFishing
@DixonsFishing 5 жыл бұрын
it is legal to keep it here in WA, it was not wasted or just kept for a photo. fed plenty of friends and family.
