We've never seen this vulnerable, tender and loving side of Maks before on the show. Meryl understands Maks and brings out the best in him in every way. I think having a long term skating relationship with Charlie has given Meryl insight into how to be in a partnership, Meryl is Maks's muse, his dancing, choreography has gone to a new level,brilliant. I love watching Maks and Meryl dance together it's absolutely exquisite!

Ok, let me just say that this is my favorite package of theirs.. and here is why: Passion, tempered by tenderness. That's how she can get to his heart, because a lot of what people judge Maks on, in al of his seasons as a Pro was how strong and aggressive his personality was. He is a very passionate person, and it can blaze a trail if someone can't find a way to talk him down.. You now what I see here more than anything else? Meryl's heart shinning thru.. because the tenderness that she displayed with a simple gesture " hold my hand" it cut threw everything he was feeling! u can tell it kind of rocked him, and that's what's sooo special in this relationship. Be it a true romance, or only a friendship, and a partnership on the dance floor...it's still a relationship between to people that touch deep into each other, and bring out the best of one another. BRAVO! the best performance of the night for me, and the best dancing duo.

Meryl reminds me of Zendaya in a way. Meryl knows how to react to Maks and in doing so she forces him into reality. Zendaya once just calmly stood and looked at Val when he blew up. Meryl & Zendaya are wise women!!!!!

Meryl and Maks are the best dance partners that have been on dwts. They have such a strong bond and push each other to do better. The dances they did really amazed me. Meryl dances like one of the pros.

That was a really lovely coaching moment with her calming him and he needs the judges to see the eleven that she is.

She saved him. Meryl saved Maks because I think without a doubt any other person wouldn't have talked him into almost quitting. And of course it's an Olympian who was able to do it because she knows how much passion and fight it takes to do stuff like this.
