Geoff Toovey is my all time favourite Sea Eagle player. When he actually coached Manly side at one point, it allowed me to put aside by bitterness towards Sea Eagles because of failed merger between Bears. I actually thought it was during his era of coaching that allowed me a Bears supporter to move on and forgive Sea Eagles for that period.

@M Cool story, I got another. Soccer will never take off in Australia. Only foreigners watch the sport, and the A League is among the least popular of sport leagues. Australian rugby eclipses Soccer, in which soccer is left in the shadow of the actual tough players, not the European hicks who dive every time they are touched. Your comments aren’t changing anyone’s opinion about Rugby League, rather helping us understand why British Citizens are no tooth, tea drinking, can’t pronounce the “T” hicks.
