Thank you for the video and all the work you put into making it. Your instructions are very clear and helpful. It was also relaxing to watch. I appreciate it all very much. I have to add that I love your beautiful mala boards and accessories. If you ever have a chance to read the comment, I'd like to ask about the tassel. Griffin's silk thread on spool has been discontinued. I was wondering if you perhaps have any recommendations to what could be used instead to create similarly beautiful and polished effect? I was also wondering what would work as a high quality vegan substitute of silk.

I cam Across your video and i am learning how to do mala. It would be helpful if you would count in English so we know how many beads , since this an English tutorial. Thanks ❤
@derblauevogel1
@derblauevogel1 6 ай бұрын
My apologies! I am German and I wasn't aware that the counting was crucial for you. A traditional mala has 108 beads plus the spacers and the guru bead (if used). The tradition I am following here is using a spacer after every 27 beads. That makes three spacers in between the 108 beads plus the guru bead. I hope this helps. 🙏💙

Yes, the plastic bead design boards seem to gather all sorts of yucky stuff that is hard to clean. I love those wooden boards that you're showing. That's such a cool design tool with the bead holes as well. Thank you for sharing your craftacular tips and technique in making your mala.

Thank You for the video! If possible could you please share how to make and attach sari tassel? What fabric to use for sari tassel and how attach it? Thank You! 🙏
@derblauevogel1
@derblauevogel1 Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! unfortunately I am not able to create videos at the moment, but making a sari silk tassel is the same way as making the regular one. Prior I would cut the silk strips to the double of the intended length and then fix them in the middle with the ends of your mala string the same way I show it in the video. Then just wrap around as you like it, to create the hassle shape. I would make it longer than a regular tassel though, because the fabric is more bulky and needs a bit of length to look beautiful and not awkward. I hope this helps a bit 😊💙🙏

I am SO HAPPY to see you start a channel, Claudia! I am loving all of my bead design boards! I'm enjoying showing them in my various videos and social media posts because they are specially made, beautiful quality and you were able to put my little logo on them. So, I think that is a wonderful investment for my jewelry-making business and it also lends a calming quality to my design process because of the natural wood board. Congratulations on your KZbin journey! Sparkle on and Merry Christmas! 🤶🎄✨

@@derblauevogel1 What diameter of thread to make the tassel do you buy?
@derblauevogel1
@derblauevogel1 Жыл бұрын
@@leilamazzocco4294 This is a question of taste. I prefer a thinner silky tassel, that is soft and fluent, so I mostly use Griffin silk with 0,38 mm.

U should not use pointing finger to touch the beed in traditional chanting ... u can check more traditional instituation lije isha foundation or ramkrishna mission for authentic steps by step how to include mala in ur daily spritual practice....apart from that it is a good content...

I believe this generally depends on the tradition you learned from your teacher. I my case I learned from an Anahata Yogi, who was trained in India for over 50 years and he taught me to use the ring finger and middle finger, as these are representing "earth and sky" (Phritivi and Akasha). Thank you for being conscious about it though and providing sources for further learning. 🙏
