Knotting between the beads keeps it from pulling my hair :D but one would have to knot between each bead. I use cotton or silk.

Hello, I have bought like 6 types of beads for the intentions I have and thought of making 2 malas. What I would like to know is if using more than one bead example (Black Onyx, Howlite, And Blue Apatite) does combining them takes away strength of the beads full power? Also can you meditate with a different mala 3x a day for different intentions? Thank you
